Our Story
SheConnects began when founder Elizabeth Haggett recognized something many women were quietly experiencing.
As busy professionals, business owners, entrepreneurs, mothers, and caregivers, women often found themselves struggling to create new friendships and meaningful connections while balancing the demands of everyday life.
What started as a simple Facebook group quickly revealed a much greater need.
Women weren’t simply looking for networking opportunities.
They were looking for community.
As the group continued to grow, so did the conversations, connections, and friendships. Soon, SheConnects evolved beyond social media into virtual gatherings, in-person meetups, educational events, and a supportive network of women who genuinely wanted to see one another succeed.
Today, SheConnects continues to grow as a community where women connect, collaborate, and thrive together.

Meet Our Founder
Elizabeth Haggett
Founder & Visionary
Elizabeth Haggett founded SheConnects with a vision to redefine networking for women by creating a community centered around authentic relationships, meaningful support, and genuine connection.
Inspired by her own experiences and recognizing that many women struggled to build new friendships while balancing busy lives, she created what would eventually become one of the region’s fastest-growing women’s networking communities.
A mom of five, animal lover, virtual assistant, and experienced event planner, Elizabeth believes every woman deserves opportunities to connect, grow, and feel supported.
Her vision continues to guide SheConnects today: creating spaces where women feel seen, encouraged, connected, and introduced to new friendships and opportunities.

Strategic Partner
Kim serves as a strategic partner and trusted advisor supporting the continued growth and future success of SheConnects. Her leadership helps guide the organization while ensuring it remains focused on serving its members and community.
Suzi Guzman
Education & AI Director
Suzi leads educational initiatives within SheConnects, providing expertise, leadership development, and educational programming for Connection Leaders and community members.
Carol Connors
Events Director
Carol is the creative force behind many of the unique experiences, events, and memorable opportunities available throughout the SheConnects community.
Amanda Marquis
Membership & Community Director
Amanda serves as the bridge between members and the organization, helping women feel welcomed, supported, connected, and engaged throughout their SheConnects journey.
Lateisha Harriman
Director of Social Media & Brand Strategy
Lateisha oversees social media visibility and brand strategy while helping members maximize opportunities through the SheConnects Amplify Program.
