THE ROLE

What Does an Area Leader Do?

Area Leaders help bring the SheConnects mission to life in their local communities.

  • Host and facilitate a monthly SheConnects meetup in your

    designated area.

  • Create a welcoming environment for every attendee

  • Encourage meaningful conversations and connections

  • Support new members and help them feel included

  • Promote local meetups within your community

  • Participate in monthly leadership training and communication meetings

  • Serve as a positive representative of the SheConnects brand

    and mission

THE COMMITMENT

Leadership Expectations

To maintain consistency across all SheConnects locations, Area Leaders agree to support

the community with professionalism, kindness, inclusivity, and integrity.

  • Host at least one meetup per month

  • Attend monthly leadership training

  • Follow SheConnects meetup guidelines and standards

  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment

  • Communicate regularly with the SheConnects leadership team

  • Represent the SheConnects mission and values positively

  • Help attendees feel seen, supported, encouraged, and connected

WHERE WE'RE GROWING

Preferred Leadership Areas

SheConnects is currently accepting Area Leader applications throughout New Hampshire,

Massachusetts, and surrounding New England communities. Applicants may request up to

two preferred cities or towns.

Bedford, NH

Exeter, NH

Newburyport, MA

Georgetown, MA

Final placement is determined based on community needs, existing leadership coverage, and alignment with the

SheConnects growth plan.

Do I need previous leadership experience?

Previous leadership experience is helpful, but not required. We are looking for women who are reliable, community-minded, professional, and aligned with the SheConnects mission.

How often do Area Leaders host meetups?

Area Leaders are expected to host at least one meetup per month in their designated area.

Is leadership training required?

Yes. Area Leaders agree to participate in monthly leadership training to ensure consistency, support, and alignment across the SheConnects community.

Can I choose the town or city I want to lead?

Applicants may request up to two preferred towns or cities. Final placement is based on community needs, existing leadership coverage, and overall fit.
